Union Store Sells Winning Lottery Ticket

UNION – Payless Liquors, located on Burnet Avenue in Union, sold a ticket worth $71,047 for the Nov. 9 Jersey Cash 5 drawing, lottery officials said.

Acting Executive Director Carole Hedinger said the winning ticket was the only one sold for Tuesday’s drawing that matched all five numbers. The winning numbers were: 14, 15, 20, 25 and 27.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Payless Liquors,” said Hedinger. “For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $750. Overnight, they have become yet another ‘lucky location’ for a very fortunate winner.”

Hedinger also noted that 2,678 other players won $62,185 in cash prizes in the Nov. 9 drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 73 players won cash prizes of $495 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 2,605 players won $10 each.
