FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. — Navy Seaman Mandisa D. Donaldson, daughter of Marilyn E. Murphy of Parlin, recently completed the Motor Vehicle Operator Course at Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Donaldson acquired the specialty skills and technical ability necessary to operate light and medium tactical-wheeled vehicles during various field and convoy operations. Donaldson spent more than 1, 800 hours of classroom instruction and practical application learning how to drive designated courses on and off road. Donaldson also conducted vehicle recoveries and inspections, simulated driving vehicles under blackout conditions and learned how to prepare operator, maintenance and accident forms.
