SBA Names Indus American Bank “New Jersey’s Breakthrough Lender of the Year”

ISELIN – Indus American Bank recently received the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) District Director’s Award as a Breakthrough Lender of the Year in the state of New Jersey.

Previously named by the SBA as one of New Jersey’s Top Ten Lender’s, Indus American Bank (IAB) generated more than 35 SBA loans for more than $18 million dollars during the 2010 year. These loans helped to create and/or retain many jobs throughout NJ and have had significant impact on the state’s economy.

“We are both honored and pleased to receive this award,” said Lawrence Kneip, Senior Vice President and SBA Director for IAB. “Being acknowledged in this way by the SBA is proof positive that our hard-work and commitment is both appreciated and respected, but more importantly, it ensures us that IAB is making a positive impact on the community around us. Congratulations to the team at IAB for a job well done.”

Kneip and fellow executives at Indus American Bank will accept the SBA District Director’s Award at the SBA’s annual Lenders Award Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at the Newark Club in Newark.
