CLARK — Out of 13 competing area grammar schools, St. John the Apostle’s School in Clark eighth-graders tied for second place in the 39th annual Scholastic Olympics hosted by Roselle Catholic High School. Earning first place awards were Sabrina Garcia (Forensics History) and Noah Belmont (Science); second place awards were Annaliese Mugele (Mathematics), Eileen Conaty (Religion) and Carolina Guerreiro (Science). Also competing, based on their notable scholastics records, were Marc Blanco, Sarah Dedinsky, Connor Ford, Richard Franklin, Jacob Krowicki, Sue Ellen Kushner, Melinda Lamprecht, Brendan McSharry, Serena Rodrigues, Catherine Sheldon, Melissa Skuriat, and Victoria Szyszkiewicz.
