Local Business Raises Money To Fight Diabetes

STATE — As a result of the recent Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes events, DHL Express US employees from the Elizabeth and East Windsor facilities raised more than $22,000 for the Mid-Jersey chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Employees directly raised more than $7,000 by soliciting donations from friends and family members for the Walk to Cure Diabetes event on Oct. 24. As the top-fundraising area, the employee fundraising efforts were supported by a $15,000 donation from DHL Express US. The fundraising will help support ongoing research for diabetes and its complications.
