EDISON – Temple Emanu-El, located at 100 James Street in Edison, has announced the following schedule of events for November. Unless otherwise indicated, all events will take place at the temple. For further information, call 1-732-549-4442.

November 3, 10, 17 & 24: Lunch & Learn, a Torah study program. 12:30 p.m.

November 12: Shabbat Alive! A joyous and rockin’ musical service where everyone is invited to  raise your voice to the heavens. A three-piece music ensemble leads the sweet sounds in a fun-filled greeting to the Sabbath. 7:00 p.m.

November 14: Rummage Sale Come shop for super bargains in new and used clothing, accessories  and interesting objects while supporting a good cause. This annual event is known for the quality of its great buys.

November 15: Temple Book Club The Book Club meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Temple library. This month’s exciting  read is “The Quality of Mercy” by popular author Faye Kellerman.

November 18: Special Offer* Applebee’s Restaurants will donate 10 percent of your check to Temple Emanu-El’s  religious school on this date. You’ll need a coupon to present which can be picked up at the Temple  office or from the website www.edisontemple.org.

November 19: Tot Shabbat A special service geared to younger children, followed by a Jewish-themed craft project.  The children’s program starts at 6:00 p.m. The regular Shabbat Service begins at 8:00 p.m.

November 20: A Parents’ Night Out You can drop your kids off at Temple Emanu-El at 5:00 p.m. they’ll have a fun  program, cared for by EESY Babysitting, reliable babysitters, while you enjoy a grown-ups only night out.

November 21: Spaghetti Dinner Come to the Temple’s one-day bistro for a delicious pasta-plus dinner and help support the Confirmation Class’s trip to Israel. 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

November 23: Interfaith Thanksgiving Service – 7:30 p.m. at the Centenary United Methodist  Church in Metuchen to give thanks for blessings.
