WAYNE – Junior Nicole Bolash recorded a double-double with a match-high 20 kills and 16 digs, however the Kean University women’s volleyball team fell to host William Paterson University, 3-1, in the New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season finale on Thursday evening.
The Pioneers placed three players in double figures in kills and four players had double digit digs in the four-set victory (25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 30-28).
Bolash committed just five errors and hit .300 in the four-set match to lead three Cougars (19-16, 2-6 NJAC) with double-digits kills.
Junior Tara Richey finished with 12 kills and sophomore Katie Schuh added 10 kills. Senior setter Colleen Masterson dished out a season-high 47 assists.
For the Pioneers, Kim Runge had a team-high 18 kills, while Megan Maher finished with 11 kills and an match-high 17 digs.
The Cougars close out the season on Saturday, October 30, when they host SUNY Institute of Technology and Baruch College in a tri-match.
