Franklin Students Donate Over 1,000 Cans In Food Drive

RAHWAY — Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently held a one-day can drive as part of Red Ribbon Week.  Students brought in and donated over 1,000 cans.  The food will be brought to the Rahway Food Pantry to help families in need.  Pictured here (from left to right) are Alexis Peterson, Yesenia Rodriguez Sanchez, Shanique Boss, Brandon Anorve, Thomas Wetherell, and Johnny Munoz.  They are from Drew D’Amico’s fourth grade class which brought in 84 cans, the most of any class in the school.
