Celebrate Halloween Weekend In Downtown Bound Brook

BOUND BROOK–- Kill the lights, let the skeletons dance and the candle burn behind the pumpkin’s mischievous grin; it’s time to almost time to celebrate Halloween weekend.

“We are excited to celebrate the spookiest holiday with entertainment sure to delight young and old alike,” says Bound Brook Council President Tony Pranzatelli. “Our objective is to bring the community together for some good old-fashioned and traditional fun.”


On Sunday, Oct. 31, children and adults in costume are invited to join the 5th Annual Bound Brook Halloween Parade, which will stretch down Main Street and terminate at the Brook Theater, where participants will be judged for best costume. Line up for the parade will be at 5:45 p.m. in the commuter parking lot at Main Street and Mountain Avenue. Costume judging will be by age group: 0 – 5 years, 6 – 8 years, 9 – 11 years, 12 – 14 years, 15 – 17 years, 18 +, with cash prizes, provided by Valley National Bank. Refreshments will be served in the outer lobby after the costume judging. Participation is free and no registration is required. All are welcome at this family event.

Also, on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. The Nerds, dubbed by MTV as America’s most famous cover band, will perform a super scary Halloween Concert. Playing classic rock, soul, TV themes, and more, they’ve rocked sold-out crowds for over twenty years.
