ELIZABETH — The Union County Homicide Task Force continues to investigate the stabbing death of an Elizabeth woman who was discovered inside her apartment on Sunday evening, Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow said today.
The victim, Jackeline Guillen, 21, was discovered around 4:45p.m. inside her Stiles Street apartment, according to Romankow. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:04 p.m. An autopsy was performed today and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
This is an active investigation and no arrests have been made and a motive for the stabbing has not been established.
Authorities are asking anyone with information relating to the death of Jackeline Guillen to call Union County Crimestoppers at 1-908-654-TIPS. A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for this homicide.
