Greenable Woodbridge to Host Town Meeting

WOODBRIDGE — “Greenable Woodbridge” will host a Town Meeting and Visioning Session to unveil and discuss the “Sustainable Woodbridge Community & Climate Action Plan” – a comprehensive environmental plan designed to explore the objectives of achieving a sustainable community and to invite discussion and engage township residents regarding the benefits of a “sustainable” and “green” community.

The “Sustainable Woodbridge Community & Climate Action Plan” is a long-term, township-wide environmental awareness initiative that will touch nearly every resident, business and visitor with real, environmentally-friendly programs and alternatives.  The plan includes objectives, actions, indicators and targets for core sustainable issues, including: energy conservation and green buildings; transportation; water management, trees and open space; green purchasing and recycling; developing an educated, healthy, energized and socially responsible local economy and community.

The town meeting and public discussion is set for Monday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Greenable Woodbridge Museum located in the Woodbridge Center Mall, JCPenney Wing (2nd floor).
