EDISON — The Wardlaw-Hartridge School’s Girls’ Varsity Soccer team showed its support for breast cancer awareness on Friday, October 8, by wearing pink t-shirts with their uniforms and playing with a soccer ball embellished with a pink ribbon during their game against Dunellen High School. The Rams were victorious, 5-0. Also on that day, faculty and staff members at the school in North Edison dressed in pink for a small donation collected by the team’s coach, Jackie MacLean of South Plainfield. Approximately $172.00 was raised and donated to the Lee Denim Day initiative for breast cancer awareness. Last month, the team participated in The Firefighter Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run in New York City. The team donated $1,000 to the cause through their participation.
