The city will hold a Senior Citizens’ Civilian Police Academy on three Tuesdays in November, Mayor Wilda Diaz announced. Participants will gain an understanding of the complexity of policing in a modern society, through classroom instruction and practical, hands on application of what they have learned in simulated police/citizen encounters.
