LINDEN – Two Elizabeth men were arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting over $2,000 worth of jewelry from Kohl’s Department Store in Linden.
Randolfo Tamayo-Suarez, 45, and Yasser Sanchez, 35, fled in different directions when the were confronted by loss prevention personnel outside the store, police said. Both were apprehended by police offices in the store parking lot at approximately 3 p.m. They were both charged with shoplifting; Sanchez was also charged with an Elizabeth contempt warrant, police said. Both were held on $25,000 bail.
Police recovered the jewelry items.
