WOODBRIDGE — The John E. Toolan Kiddie Keep Well Camp will hold its eighth annual Fall Gala at Royal Albert’s Palace on Oct. 13 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
This year, the camp will be honoring Woodbridge Councilman Rick Dalina as the Civic Leader of Distinction. Dalina has worked hard to improve the quality of life in Fords, Hopelawn and Keasbey during his 16 years as Second Ward Councilman. He has focused his efforts on helping families, veterans and senior citizens by keeping streets safe and making improvements to neighborhoods.
He has been active in many civic and church related endeavors and for many years he has devoted his time to his role in county government. He is being honored for his many years of support in the community and to Kiddie Keep Well Camp.
The camp is currently in its 86th year of service to the children of Middlesex County.
“This event, besides being a wonderful social experience, is also a major fundraiser for the camp,” said Stanley Lease, board president. Tom Tighe, co-chair, went on to say, “This year the camp has provided a residential camping experience for 610 children form Middlesex County and without the support of people like Councilman Dalina, the camp, which is a private, non-profit corporation, would not be able to continue its’ service.”
