RWJ Rahway Celebrates A Successful Golf Outing

RAHWAY–The September day could not have been more perfect for golfers as they teed off at RWJ Rahway Foundation’s 27th Annual Golf Classic at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield.  “It was a great day for RWJ Rahway,” said Honorary Golf Chairman, Dr. Barry Benisch, Rahway Pathology, P.A.

Kevin Headd, Golf Classic Co-Chair and retired golf pro said, “We express our gratitude to Dr. Benisch and Rahway Pathology for their Title Sponsorship and continued support.” During the evening program, Dr. Benisch expressed his appreciation to the golf committee for their dedication and hard work on behalf of the benefit of the hospital.


Headd and his Co-Chair, Marlene H. Lubinger, Foundation President, were delighted to announce the event netted $75,000 for RWJ Rahway.

In addition to Rahway Pathology, other special sponsors of the Golf Classic included Fairway Sponsor, QualCare, Inc. and Bogey Sponsors K & L Gates, Merck & Co., Inc., S & D Radiology and Willis.

The Chipping Contest, sponsored by Station Cab, Rahway, was won by Arthur Wildman. First prize for the Putting Contest, sponsored by Chen, Wang & Guarino, M.D., P.A. was won by Bill Dwyer, and second prize was won by Robert Saraceno.

Hole-in-one sponsors were Ray Catena Infiniti of Edison, Martin Jewelers of Cranford and the New Jersey PGA.

Ladies Closest to the Pin was won by Gerrianne Warren and Longest Drive was won by Sue Chung.  Men’s Closest to the Pin went to Dave Boyle and Longest Drive went to Jay Lynch.

First place for Low Gross Teams went to Annette Catino, Norman Buttaci, Glenn Mekles and Jay Lunch from QualCare, Inc.  The second place team was Larry Naldi, Joe Morrissey, Art Wildman and Peter Honigmann from Merck & Co., Inc.  Third place winners were hospital Board of Governors Chairman, Brian Leddy, John Moore, Frank O’Brien and Carl Sicola, while fourth place went to Bob Blake, Bob White and Don Evensen.  Fifth place winners were Dr. Richard Schuman, Brian Canavan, Ron Sanderson and Kevin Headd.

First place for Low Net Calloway Teams went to the Marc Stein, WithumSmith+Brown and Jeff Brown and Joe Dobosh.  Second place was won by Dr. Inyoung and Sue Chung, Dr. Paul Ahn and Dr. Scott Chae.  Third place winners were Dave Bogle, Carl O’Brien, Michael Mimoso and Robert Irwin, while fourth place went to Janet Biedron, Rick McCourt, Darrel Jones and Gerrianne Warren of Kindred Hospital New Jersey-Rahway.  Fifth place winners were RWJ Rahway President & CEO, Kirk Tice and hospital Board members, Dan Lepri, Allen Geyer and Ron Kowalczyk.
