BETHPAGE, N.Y. – In the heat of the game, fans fuel the field and now MSG Varsity is giving local high schools the opportunity to show off their game day spirit. MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s television network dedicated to everything high school, introduces Home Field Advantage – an interactive contest where students are invited to upload their school’s best “game day” photos for the chance to win exiting prizes including a Game Day Review System (state-of-the-art, high definition monitor with built-in playback) or the grand prize of a customized air blast tunnel.
To participate in Home Field Advantage, students can log on to MSGVarsity.com now through Oct. 4 to upload their favorite photos. Some suggestions include: the best shots of cheerleaders performing their hardest stunt, face-painted football fans, half-time performances by the band, or anything else that gives their school the home field advantage on game day.
“This is a contest where students can encourage their whole community to vote for their local high school,” explained Philip Summers, VP Marketing for MSG Varsity. “The grand prize is a customized, inflatable air blast tunnel that will allow the school’s football team, as well as other sports teams to enter the field with all the excitement and spectacle of a pro game.”
Beginning Oct. 11, visitors to MSGVarsity.com can view the photos and vote on which high schools in the tri-state region demonstrate the best “game day” spirit. Bonus votes may be earned by watching High School SportsDesk every night at 6 p.m. on iO TV Channel 14, where five secret codes will be released every week for the six-week voting period. Three grand prize winning schools will be announced on a live MSG Varsity broadcast.
