Kean Women’s Volleyball Drops Two in Penny Fall Classic

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Kean University women’s volleyball team dropped two matches in the Penny Fall Classic held at Washington College (Maryland) on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars (9-9) fell to Widener University (11-8), 3-0 (16-25, 21-25, 21-25), in the first matchup of the day. Kean was led by junior Jamie Sacco (pictured right) who had nine kills, seven digs as well as four service aces. Junior Nicole Bolash added six kills and 13 digs.

KU dropped the second match to host Washington (7-10), 3-0 (22-25, 17-25, 27-29), in the nightcap. The Cougars were led by Bolash who had a team-high 11 kills and nine digs.

On the afternoon senior Colleen Masterson had a combined 40 assists while junior libero Mary Aldana tallied 20 digs.
