Woodbridge Plans Township-Wide Parks Cleanup On Saturday

WOODBRIDGE — Mayor John E. McCormac and the Woodbridge “Green Team” invite you to join them in a township-wide “environmental clean-up” as part of National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 25.

National Public Lands Day celebrates service and recreation on public lands while educating volunteers about the effects of climate change on parks and green areas. The goal of National Public Lands Day is to mobilize residents – adult and youth volunteers – to get outdoors and to participate in efforts to improve public areas, parks, playgrounds, and green acres.

To volunteer, call the Mayor’s Office at 1-732-602-6015.  You’ll get a call back with information on where to report on Saturday, Sept. 25 to help spruce up one of the township parks, playgrounds or green acre sites.
