PERTH AMBOY– Cathedral International Social Justice Ministry announces its 2010 Legal Panel. The Social Justice Ministry of the Cathedral International was created to educate, empower, and advocate on behalf of fellow citizens for the fair distribution of resources, opportunities, and responsibilities that are the fundamental right of every person.
As the information exchange between the community and the legal profession has become more imprecise, questions about the public’s knowledge of emerging legal developments and about the channels of communication available to obtain that knowledge have become important matters for consideration.
Towards this end, the Social Justice Ministry will host a legal forum that allows the community to engage in open dialogue and exchange ideas with practicing attorneys regarding five areas of law—employment law, consumer protection, criminal expungements, immigration law, and alternative dispute resolution (e.g., mediation). The community will gain valuable up-to-date information from experienced practitioners on legal issues that affect them directly.
The Legal Forum will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. –1 p.m. in the Cathedral International Family Life Center (FLEC) located at 272 Madison Avenue (across the street from the main church sanctuary) in Perth Amboy.
