Kean Women’s Tennis Cruises Past City Tech, 9-0

UNION– The Kean University women’s tennis team picked up their third win of the season as they defeated New York City College of Technology, 9-0, Friday afternoon from the Alumni Stadium Tennis Courts.

Sophomore Lauren Petrucelli  won straight sets in first singles (6-0, 6-0) and combined with rookie Jaelynn Lee for an 8-0 decision in second doubles. Lee also picked up a win in sixth singles with another straight set decision (6-0, 6-0).

Senior Lisette LaForge earned wins at second singles (6-0, 6-1) and first doubles, along with freshman Debra Dress, 8-0. Dress earned the win at fourth singles (6-1, 6-0). Junior Miriam Penafiel earned wins at third singles (6-0, 6-1) and combined with senior Annie Ramos at third doubles for an 8-0 win.

The Cougars return to action on Tuesday when they host Lehman College.
