WOODBRIDGE — Assemblyman Craig J. Coughlin, in partnership with the Raritan Bay Medical Center and the Middlesex Water Company, will hold the first “Bowl for Hunger” on Sunday, Oct. 3.
Coughlin and the leaders of the Raritan Bay Medical Center and the Middlesex Water Company recognize that local food banks are in desperate need of assistance and are urging residents to consider helping their local food pantries.
The “Bowl for Hunger” event, limited in size due to its inauguration, will run from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3. The Woodbridge Bowling Center will welcome a total of 24 participating local businesses and community organizations for two hours of bowling to benefit the 19th District’s 29 food banks.
While bowling opportunities are sold out, Coughlin encouraged individuals and businesses alike to consider donating food, money or their time to local food banks. Interested community members are invited to sponsor the Bowl for Hunger by contacting the assemblyman’s office at 1-732-855-7441.
The 19th Legislative District is comprised of the following municipalities: Carteret, Perth Amboy, Sayreville, South Amboy, and Woodbridge.
