RAHWAY — Arts Guild New Jersey will present “Commuters,” an exhibit of photography about how we get to work, from Sept. 12 through Oct. 7.
Lawrence Cappiello, curator of the exhibit and executive director of Arts Guild New Jersey, says, “For many, [commuting] might be the most unpleasant part of the day, but in order to keep our jobs, we repeat this activity for most of our lives. ‘Commuters’ is a celebration of our toils and travails – the job of getting to the job.”
Jeff Evans, Maren Friedman, Andrew Glickman, Donald Lokuta, Marco Munoz, Elizabeth Niesouchouski, and Garry Waller are featured artists.
There will be an opening reception on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free to the exhibition and reception. Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 1 – 4 p.m. The exhibit can also be viewed, Monday – Thursday, during regular office hours by appointment.
