Students Invited To Audition For Peter Pan Production

SOUTH AMBOY – Young performers, ages 6-17, are invited to audition for a pilot production of “Disney’s Peter Pan Jr.” The show, produced by Hernandez Theatre Workshop, Inc. & Mecca Entertainment in collaboration with the South Amboy Department of Recreation, will be used to test the script and performance materials.

Auditions for character and featured ensemble roles will be held at the South Amboy YMCA, 200 John T. O’Leary Boulevard on Saturday, Sept. 18, and are by appointment only. Performers may register for appointments ranging from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. using the audition registration system found at www.hernandeztheatre.org.

Students must come accompanied by a parent or guardian. Performers should bring 16 bars of sheet music of an up-tempo musical theatre song that displays character and vocal range. No a cappella singing or CD tracks will be allowed. A pianist will be provided. Callbacks will be held on the same day, and are by invitation only.

Performances will run Nov. 19-21 at the South Amboy Middle/High School Theatre.
