Communities To Receive WTC Steel For 9/11 Memorials

STATE – Two central New Jersey communities will receive a piece of steel from the World Trade Center for inclusion in their memorials to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

At 5 p.m., Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and Bill Baroni, deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, will visit Linden to present a piece of steel for inclusion in the Wanda Green Memorial Park at 850 Mack Place.

At 6:30 p.m., they will visit East Brunswick to present the Board of Fire Commissioners with a piece of steel from the World Trade Center for inclusion in their public memorial.
