Perth Amboy Holds Back To School Rally
PERTH AMBOY — The community is invited to attend the Perth Amboy’s first Back-to-School Pep Rally and Fair today at Albert G. Waters Stadium, Eagle Avenue and Francis Street.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. with the Perth Amboy High School Marching band and guest speakers. The purpose of the pep rally and fair is to get parents, students, staff and the community excited and ready for the start of a new school year.
Thanks to support from Target Stores, the Community Foodbank of New Jersey, Wachovia Bank and Raritan Bay Medical Center, school supply give-aways will be provided to a number of students enrolled in Perth Amboy Public Schools.
In addition, each of the district’s 12 schools will be present to offer important information to parents and the Raritan Bay Area YMCA will provide a rock climbing wall.
