EARTH Center To Hold Garden Field Day
SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County invites you to their Garden Field Day Saturday, Aug. 28, from 1 to 5 p.m. The event will take place at the EARTH Center located at 42 Riva Avenue in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, South Brunswick.
Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer advice on all garden topics (bring your plant pest or disease samples). Tours will be given of the demonstration gardens including a huge vegetable display garden, the “Circle of Thyme” herb garden, and the newly constructed butterfly house.
Kids can meet MC Blue, the recycling robot, tour Monroe’s Enviro-Mobile or take part in activities offered by 4-H clubs. Extension staff will host a Jersey Fresh Taste Test offering free samples of locally grown produce. There will also be live music from the D&R Gypsy Jazz Band and food by Elijahs’ Promise.
