WOODBRIDGE – The Township Health Department reminds pet owners that all cats five months and older must be licensed.

Pets must be inoculated for rabies prior to the time of licensing and owners must show proof of spaying or neutering to qualify for the lower rate.

Cat licenses cost $22, or $12 if the animal is spayed or neutered. Senior citizens pay the reduced fee of $16 or $6. A late fee of $3 is assessed after Nov. 1.

According to health director Dennis Green, by licensing your pet, you ensure that the community is protected from rabies and assure your pet’s safety and prompt return should it ever become lost.
