WOODBRIDGE–The Barron Arts Center will present Tom Timko and Friends on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. as part of the “Red, White & Blues: Jazz & Blues from the Garden State,” a concert series running through the summer of 2010. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
The concert will take place outdoors on the lawn at The Barron Arts Center, 582 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge. In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors and seating will be on a first-come, first-seated basis. Call 1-732-634-0413 for more information.
Saxophonist/Composer Tom Timko has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in the music business, among them: Blood, Sweat and Tears,Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, John Mayer, Chicago, and many others too numerous to mention. Tom’s saxophone can also be heard on the soundtrack to the recent film “American Gangster.”
In the spirit of giving back to the community, the Barron Arts Center is collect items for the Mayor’s Food Pantry, Woodbridge Animal Shelter and Angel PAWS at all programs and events throughout the year. Please bring a non-perishable food donation for the Mayor’s Food Pantry and/or cat & dogs items for Woodbridge Animal Shelter and Angel PAWS.
Items needed include cat and dog food (wet and premium dry), kitty litter, paper towels, paper plates, cleaning supplies (bleach, soap), towels, animal beds, toys, bathroom throw rugs, plastic garbage bags, grooming items (q-tips, cotton balls), and office supplies (paper, pens, etc.)
