EDISON – On Tuesday, Ed Potosnak, Democratic Candidate for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, received the endorsements of three Middlesex County mayors whose towns lie within the district.
John McCormac of Woodbridge, Charles Butrico of South Plainfield and Antonia Ricigliano of Edison extended their support to Potosnak’s campaign to be their next Congressman.
At the James Madison Intermediate Elementary School, Ricigliano welcomed Potosnak and the other mayors to her community. “Ed understands that investing in education is an investment in the future success of our economy,” said Ricigliano, a former second grade teacher.
Like Potosnak, Butrico has a professional background in science. He is an executive at Computer Sciences Corporation. Butrico remarked, “I’m pleased to endorse Ed Potosnak because we share a commitment to enriching New Jersey’s economy by nurturing science and technology in our businesses and our schools.”
McCormac remarked how pleased he was to host Potosnak’s campaign office in his town. He vowed, “I will work hard to bring out my voters for Ed this November.”
“I’m grateful for the support of our mayors in Middlesex,” said Potosnak. “Their endorsements illustrate the strength of their support and their commitment to turn out the vote on November 2. Middlesex’s communities are vital to New Jersey and our nation’s economy.”
Potosnak is challenging Republican Congressman Leonard Lance to represent New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District in Washington.
