Cranford Readers’ Forum Announces Reading List

CRANFORD—The Readers’ Forum, the book discussion group of the Cranford Public Library, will begin its eighteenth year with a discussion of The Patron March by E.L. Doctorow on Monday, Sept. 27. The novel tells the story of Sherman’s march from Atlanta to Savannah during the Civil War and how the destruction his forces wrought transformed and transfigured the South.

Subsequent titles and dates are: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Oct. 25, 2010; The Zookeeper’s Wife: A War Story by Diane Ackerman, Nov. 22, 2010; One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd by Jim Fergus, Dec. 20, 2010; The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Jan. 24, 2011; Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, Feb. 28, 2011; Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford, March 28, 2011; The Help by Kathryn Stockett, April 25, 2011; and Caught by Harlan Coben, May 23, 2011.
