Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $75 Million

STATE – Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot could be worth up to $75 million, with a $49.9 million cash option.

There were no top prize winners in Tuesday’s drawing, but two $10,000 third prize-winning tickets were sold in New Jersey.

In addition to the Garden State’s two third prize winners, 41,663 other New Jersey players took home $164,789 in prizes ranging from $2 to $150, according to New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Aug. 10, drawing were: 02, 14, 26, 50, and 56 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 12.

This jackpot has been growing since July 16, when Mega Millions had its most recent jackpot winner. The jackpot has now rolled seven times without a winner. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 176 million. The odds of winning any of the Mega Millions prizes are approximately 1 in 40.

Mega Millions is currently played in 39 states. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Eastern Time and are televised locally on NJN.

Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth up to $51 million since there were no grand prize winners in Wednesday’s drawing.

Two $10,000 third prize-winning tickets were sold in New Jersey. The Powerball winning numbers for Aug. 11 were 07, 10, 22, 23, and 52 and the Red Power Ball number was 29. The Power Play number was 2.

Powerball drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. Eastern Time and are televised locally on NJN.
