Powerball Prize Worth $38 Million

STATE – Tonight’s Powerball jackpot could be worth $38 million, or $20.2 million if the cash option is chosen.

There were no winners of the Powerball jackpot on Saturday, but one lucky New Jersey Lottery player did win the Powerball third prize of $10,000 in the Aug. 7 drawing.


“Congratulations to this fortunate Lottery player,” said the Lottery’s Acting Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “They have become our newest lucky winner in the Lottery’s very popular Powerball game.”

In addition to the one $10,000 winner, 24,113 other New Jersey players took home $103,298 in prizes ranging from $3 to $100, according to Hedinger.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Aug. 7 drawing were: 04, 22, 26, 31, and 52 and the Red Power Ball number was 30. The Power Play number was 5.

Tonight’s drawing will be televised locally at 11 p.m. on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
