UNION COUNTY – The Union County Rape Crisis Center is looking for dedicated individuals who are interested in helping survivors of sexual violence. A state-mandated training will be offered Sept. 21- Nov. 9 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 10 p.m. in Westfield.
Volunteer confidential sexual violence advocates must be Union County residents, be at least 18 years of age, have their own car and a valid driver’s license, undergo a personal interview and complete the training program.
If you meet these requirements and are interested in becoming a volunteer confidential sexual violence advocate, call 1-908-233-7273 or email rcc@ucnj.org.
Since 1984, victims of sexual assault have been able to rely on sensitive, reliable assistance from the Union County Rape Crisis Center, through a corps of trained volunteer confidential sexual violence advocates. The advocates provide a calming, reassuring presence during a time of crisis, and they provide information about legal options.
