I received the following in an e-mail: “Hi Diane, My husband Robert LaRouche grew up in Elizabethport until his mother died when he was 9. He was then passed around by the New Jersey social service system and ended up living with a family in Kenilworth –his ‘brother’ was Hans Friedrichsen.
“Bob’s dad died in Lowell, Mass. when he was two and Mom when he was nine and so he has very few memories. I am wishing that you could post, in some manner a request for photos from 1934 up that might include images of the Elizabethport area then. I would give just about anything for a photo that included Bob’s mother, Olga Zylka LaRouche, who ran a boarding house on Marshall Street or Bond Street. Thanks for any assistance.”
If anyone has some information or photos of the time and would like to share, you can e-mail email@example.com or mail them to me c/o CMD Media, 1139 East Jersey St., Suite 503, Elizabeth NJ, 07201.
