UNION – Kean University announced last week that men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field will no longer compete at the intercollegiate level.  School officials said that this decision was based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the declining number of women competing over the last several years.

The restructuring of the intercollegiate sports program at Kean University will maximize available financial resources and enable the athletic program to compete at the highest level in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and to participate in the affiliated Skyline Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference, college officials said.
