Middlesex County College Athletes Named Academic All Americans

EDISON — Six athletes from Middlesex County College have been named to the Academic All-America team for the 2009-2010 academic year. To qualify, they must have a 3.6 grade point average with at least 45 credits.

“We are very proud of our athletes and are thrilled that they are succeeding both on the field and in the classroom,” said Bob Wisniewski, the athletic director at Middlesex.

The student-athletes are:

  • Marissa DellaValle (South River), Softball
  • Christopher Mooney (Milltown), Baseball
  • Mark Parisen (South Amboy), Track and Field
  • Jonathan Siswo (Port Reading), Baseball
  • Paul Zygmund (Fords), Baseball
  • Vincent DeSario (Edison), Golf, who received the award posthumously.
