CLARK– With the Jewish High Holidays fast approaching, Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah of Clark is offering a free five week crash course designed to allow one to read the prayers in the machzor, the special High Holiday prayer book, in the original Hebrew.

“The ability to follow along in the holy, ancient language can make the holiday experience much more meaningful,” according to Cantor Steven Stern, who will teach the course.  “We will also learn to chant some of the most important and moving prayers of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, including the very soul-stirring Kol Nidre.”

The course will be taught at the Clark temple, 111 Valley Road, minutes off of Exit 135 of the Garden State Parkway, beginning the first week of August.  For more information and to enroll, call Cantor Stern at 1-732-381-8403, or email the Synagogue at tbethor@gmail.com.
