Rahway Library Reduces Hours

July 28, 2010

RAHWAY – The Rahway Library Board of Trustees are reducing the library’s hours of service to allow better use of a smaller staff.

The library will not open until noon on Mondays and will close an hour earlier on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

“The board regrets that during hard economic times when people need the library even more, it is necessary to make these service cuts,” said Vanessa Rozzelle, president of the library’s Board of Trustees. “We hope it is possible to reverse them in the future.”

The new library hours are noon to 8 p.m. on Monday, 9 a.m. –5 p.m. on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The library is closed on Sunday.
