LINDEN – Police arrested a 50-year-old Roselle woman accused of shoplifting from the ShopRite supermarket on West Edgar Road Tuesday evening.

Debra Davis was placed under arrest and was being held on $5,000 bail pending transfer to the Union County jail, police said. She was also being held on a Somerset County contempt of court warrant, officials said.

When officers responded to the supermarket at 7:37 p.m. on July 20, store personnel told them that they observed Davis conceal items in her bag and attempt to leave the store without paying for them, authorities said. When Davis was arrested, she had 14 bottles of Visine allergy drops, nine bottles of Nyquil liquid, ten bottles of Visine eye drops and ten bottles of Tylenol tablets in her possession, worth a total value of $305, police said.
