CRANFORD—Andrea Carbine, co-owner of Cranford’s acclaimed A Toute Heure bistro, will talk about the “locavore” movement on Monday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue.
According to About.com, a locavore is “someone who exclusively (or, at least, primarily) eats food from their local or regional food shed or within a determined radius from their home. By eating locally, locavores hope to create a greater connection between themselves and their food sources, resist industrialized and processed foods, and support their local economy.”
Carbine will talk about how she incorporates locavore principals into the day-to-day operations of A Toute Heure. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
