The Parade of Ponds bus tour of more than 24 outdoor gardens and ponds on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25, 2010, is being sponsored by Grounds Keeper, Inc., 798 Route 34, Matawan, New Jersey. The tour is open to the public for this one weekend only. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help children who have cancer. Tickets purchased in advance only cost $20 each and $25 at the door, and are valid on both days. Light refreshments and a bagged lunch are included in the cost of a ticket.
Participants may follow the bus or take a self-guided tour via a map provided by Grounds Keeper. For information and advanced tickets, call Lou Ann Bock at 1-732-566-1600. Only 50 seats are available. Charity donations for St. Jude’s are also being accepted.
Grounds Keeper, a design, build, and landscape firm in Matawan, is showcasing both public and private water gardens, including ponds, waterfalls, streams, fountains and pools in Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties free of charge to help raise money for St. Jude’s.
“Our goal is to have participants enjoy the beauty of Nature—the ponds, the plants, the fish, the birds—and to raise as much money as possible for St. Jude’s,” says Jay Eriv, President of Grounds Keeper, Inc.
