Tim Dursee began organizing the Walk for Mom in 1999 in memory of his mother, Charlotte Dursee, who lost her battle to breast cancer. In the past eleven years, Walk for Mom has grown to include over one hundred participants and has raised over $50,000 for CancerCare. CancerCare is a national nonprofit organization that provides free professional counseling, support groups, financial assistance and educational programs for cancer patients and their loved ones. All proceeds from the walk will benefit CancerCare of New Jersey and their mission to provide “help and hope” to anyone affected by cancer.
