RAHWAY — Micah Pakay, a lifelong resident of Rahway, has graduated with honors from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a Government major and a minor in pre-law.

Because of his academic achievement and desire to attend law school, Pakay has been given the opportunity to continue his education at Rutgers School of Law, Newark campus, where he will work towards his Juris Doctor Degree stating in late August.

Pakay knew he wanted to attend law school after participating on his homeschool Mock Trial team as a lead attorney for three years. His homeschool team competed with public and private high school teams from all parts of New Jersey. Pakay, along with his two sisters, have been home-schooled and are members of Christian Homeschoolers of Union County.

From an early age, Pakay has been involved with scouts, Little League baseball and played on his church softball league. He has volunteered with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, Broken Loves food pantry and will spend much of this summer volunteering at Streetlight Mission in Elizabeth, helping the homeless and those struggling from poverty.
