CLARK – A public hearing on an ordinance to close Campbell Place to traffic is on the agenda at tonight’s Clark Township Council meeting.
Last month, the council introduced the ordinance that would make the entire residential access roadway a no-through street along its entire length, from Westfield Avenue to Union Street. Traffic was cited as a safety and quality of life concern. The road has been unofficially closed to traffic for several months.
The council also plans to introduce a capital ordinance appropriating $20,000 from the township’s capital surplus to acquire equipment for the fire department.

The council meets at 315 Westfield Avenue; a council workshop session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with the public meeting planned for 7:30 p.m.
