Johnson Students Win Bartell Scholarships

CLARK — Four students achieving high academic standing from Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark were awarded Bartell Scholarships at an awards ceremony June 8. The winner of the ALJ Entrepreneurial Award in memory of Leslie B. Bartell was Lisa Hagen.

Kevin Walsh won one of the Bartell Scholarships in honor of former ALJ Marketing Teacher Jack Ford. Mariah Fiore and Arthur Druhot also won awards.

These scholarships were established by the late Leslie B. Bartell, who owned Bartell Garden Supply Company since 1933. Richard Bartell presented each student with a $4,500 check.
