Community Youth Players Bring “Grease” To Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE — The Woodbridge Community Youth Players will take the stage to present GREASE on Wednesday, July 14 through Sunday, July 18. The production will take place at the air-conditioned Hungarian American Club located at 95 Port Reading Avenue in Woodbridge. Performance times are:

  • July 14 at 1 p.m.
  • July 15, 16 & 17 at 7:30 p.m.
  • July 18 at 2 p.m.

Under the direction of Ricki Cohn, the musical direction of Beth Amory, and the choreography of Q. Bunch, the Woodbridge Community Youth Players offer a showcase for young Woodbridge Township actors and actresses.

“GREASE” features the acting talent of Woodbridge residents: Steph Sciandra (Jan); Allie Tumminia (Marty); Marisa Tota (Rizzo); Melanie Cella (Frenchy); Kim Boyko (Sandy); Rob Handerhan (Doody); Josue Martinez (Roger); Sean Domingo (Kenickie); Alex Witkowski (Sonny); Joel Martinez (Danny); Samantha Tirone (Miss Lynch); Andrew Marshello (Eugene Florczyk); Adam Korner (Vince Fontaine/ Ensemble); Lisa Steinberg (Patty Simcox); Shawn Brush (Teen Angel/Ensemble);

Megan Peterson (Cha-Cha DeGregorio); Janette Nweme (Miss Johnnie Casino/Ensemble); John E. McCormac (Principal McCormac). The Ensemble Cast includes: Ryan Ardiente, Alyssa Caffarelli, Alex Cammy, Rebecca Fenderson, Daniella Forero, Charles Kreisel, Sarah Masperi, Kiersten Morgan, Emily Moss, Brianna Oddo, Alison Pajonk, Kelly Peterson, Morissa Schwartz, Valentina Seramba, and Danny Swansboro. Supporting production crew: Emily Witkowski, Stage Manager; Karina Oddo, Assistant Stage Manager; Kelly Peterson and Sam Tirone, Dance Captains.

Tickets (general seating) are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Day of performance tickets are: $12 for adults and $8 for children. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Mayor’s Office in Town Hall, at the Farmers Market each Wednesday on Main Street, and at the Mayor’s Summer Concert Series every Monday night on the lawn behind Woodbridge High School.
