South Amboy Councilman Dies (Updated)

SOUTH AMBOY — Councilman Russell Stillwagon died Tuesday night. He was 78.

“Councilman Stillwagon was a dedicated public servant who served the residents of the first ward since 1991. ┬áHe will be truly missed by his family, constituents and many friends,” said South Amboy Business Administrator Camille Tooker in a statement released by the city Wednesday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” on Bordentown Avenue followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church on Augusta Street.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals.”
