LINDEN – The Linden Free Public Library will hold a grand opening ceremony for its new facility at 31 East Henry Street this morning at 10 a.m.
The new library replaces a 70-year-old structure built in 1939 under the Works Progress Administration. The new building was financed with $9 million in bonds through the Union County Improvement Authority, according to city officials.
Regular library hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
