Chamber Music Workshop Begins July 8

BERKELEY HEIGHTS–Have you ever wanted to play chamber music with strings and woodwinds but didn’t know where, how or with whom?

This July 2010 the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra is holding their Introduction to Chamber Music Workshop headed by a professional coaching staff that offers the opportunity to learn and play chamber music for your level of ability. Beginner and intermediate players will meet in small groups for 1 1/2 hours at the Wharton Music Center from 7-9 p.m. Enrollment is currently underway for Session B that meets July 8, 15, 22, & 29, four consecutive Thursday evenings. The cost for the four-evening session is $100.

Cello, viola, violin, wind instrument and flute coaches will help you experience the joys of playing chamber music in a relaxed and noncompetitive atmosphere. The professional coaching staff consists of accomplished musicians who have performed at Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space and NJPAC. The coaches hold advanced degrees in musical performance.

To register for the workshop call Martin Steinberg at 1-973-953-4425 or 1-908-603-7691. Or, pick up a yellow registration form in the lobby of the Judith G.
